What: Second Edition of the Innovate Africa Symposium: ‘Strengthening Data Governance in the African Data Ecosystem’

The African Development Bank’s statistics department, in collaboration with the National Institute of Statistics Rwanda (NISR), will host the Second Edition of the Innovate Africa Symposium.
Centered on ‘Strengthening Data Governance in the African Data Ecosystem’, the symposium will address recent significant advancements in data governance that will ultimately benefit the entire continent, highlighting the pivotal role of robust data governance frameworks in harnessing data for socio-economic growth in the digital era.
Participants will include an eclectic mix of leaders from government, civil society, the private sector, academia, and international organisations who will deliberate on enhancing transparency, efficiency, and innovation through effective data governance.
Symposium sessions will be both plenary and panel discussions. Parallel sessions exploring different dimensions of data governance will take place on innovation and strategy, platforms and process, and case studies and technology demos.
