The Australian Embassy has opened applications for its Direct Aid Programme (DAP).
DAP is a small grants programme that supports local communities in delivering direct, practical, and immediate projects that promote sustainable and inclusive economic growth and development.
DAP funding is available on a not-for-profit basis to community groups, non-government organisations (NGO), research institutions, and other entities engaged in development activities.
Benefits
- Maximum of AUD 60,000 over the life of the project
Eligibility
- Research institutions, and other entities engaged in development activities in Ethiopia, South Sudan, Djibouti, and the Central African Republic are eligible to apply
- Not-for-profit organisations, including community groups, non-government organisations (NGOs) engaged in development activities
- Applicants must have projects targeting one or more of the following areas: gender equality, disability, and social inclusion (GEDSI), health services and education (particularly women’s and girl’s sexual and reproductive health rights), agriculture, food security, and climate resilience, governance, peacebuilding (including women, peace, and security), and human rights.
