Kumba Foundation, a non-governmental organisation has donated school items to children in Liberia, putting smiles on their faces.
The Chief Executive Officer and founder of the foundation, Princess Guwor, said the purpose of the donation was to help smoothen the process of learning, especially for the children of families that are financially challenged. In her statement, she stated that the focus of her organisation is ensuring that Liberian youths are all educated and successful. She said Kumba Foundation works to provide opportunities that will help young Liberians access quality education.
Guwor also frowned on street hawking, especially for children who are of school age. She called on the Liberian government to enact policies that will help reduce street hawking and keep every child in school.
