The Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance has called for submission of entries for the African Climate Change and Environment Reporting (ACCER) Awards 2020.
The main objective of the awards is to ensure that Africa’s climate story is told as it is by highlighting the areas unseen by the rest of the world.

- Winning and shortlisted contesters will be invited to the ACCER Awards Finalists Academy
- Continuous training is offered to journalists
- A cash prize of $1,000 awaits the overall winner, with more opportunities to travel to international events
- The shortlisted candidates will also get free return tickets to the event
Eligibility
- Entry is open to all journalists from Africa
- Applicant must be from established media houses, private or public-sector media
- Also open to freelance journalists and bloggers
- Entries must be original pieces written in English or French
- Articles must have been published between August 2018 and June 2020
