Botswana: Losika Trust Provides Wheelchair Support

Boseja North Councillor, Limit Banyatsang, has commended Losika Trust and Gospel Revival Centre Church for providing a new wheelchair to a 41-year-old man living with disability.

Speaking at a ceremony to hand over the wheelchair, Banyatsang thanked Losika Trust and the church for extending a helping hand to Goitsemodimo Somolekae despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

‘We will take the donation as a blessing and a lesson that we must look after our neighbours regardless of their status or background’, he said.

The Losika Trust Founder, Pelotshweu Machibe, said that he received a request from Prophet Olorato Sabipa who narrated the Somolekae’s plight.

Machibe said no one should be left behind regardless of their disability, sickness or any circumstance, adding that giving was the first symbol of love.

Also speaking, Boseja North Social Worker, Lichizani Dobela, thanked the NGO and the church for extending a helping hand to Somolekae, saying the donation would make a huge difference in his life.

She said the beneficiary, who stayed alone, had been suffering because his old wheelchair limited his mobility.

Prophet Sabipa revealed that the church approached the NGO because it had been doing a good job in improving the lives of members of the community.
