Plan International is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Roving Nutrition Technical Coordinator.

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership guidance and strategies for the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all Plan International Ethiopia-initiated nutrition interventions
- Provide technical support and overall coordination to field-based roving response and recovery team and regional programme units
- Proactively engage in influencing pertinent policies, strategies and practices with the aim to ensure benefit of children affected by disasters, and also build institutional capacity of Plan International and its partners to effectively respond to roving nutrition-related needs
Requirements
- Degree in relevant field of study
- Master’s degree in Applied Nutrition, Public Health or a related field (preferred)
- Five years, minimum, of relevant experience, with three years of senior level experience (not necessarily gained in an NGO or INGO) or demonstrated equivalent combination
- Extensive and documented experience in managing roving nutrition and health-related projects with focus on operational aspects including management of budget and logistics
- Experience of managing projects for major donors and experience of working with INGO, UN or donor agencies
- Knowledge of child rights programming
- Knowledge of Plan International policies and procedures
- Knowledge of international standards, notably, SPHERE, LEGS, and the Red Cross/NGO code of conduct
- Good understanding of emerging international humanitarian issues and aid effectiveness
