Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Finance Coordinator.
DRC provides direct assistance to conflict-affected populations including refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs).
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate financial data management across country operation
- Facilitate and monitor monthly and yearly financial/accounting closure
- Work with regional, headquarters and area offices in the capacity building of finance teams
- Develop/update finance policies, procedures and tools and close monitoring to ensure compliance
- Ensure regular budget monitoring and reporting with support of area office teams
- Set up/maintain financial data, documentation and ensure filing system is in place
- Responsible for cash and bank reconciliation and fund transfer and receipts
- Internal and external budget development
- Ensure compliance to internal and external policies, processes, laws (donor rules, organisation internal policies and local financial and tax laws)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance/Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Three years of proven experience in finance/accounting function
- Experience/knowledge of ERP systems
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of English, Arabic and French
