UN Women Kenya has called for proposals for Enhancing Women Resilience in Refugee Camps and Host Communities Project.
Women in the refugee and host community context are in many cases constrained by the lack of specialised skills or capital to start a business enterprise, and low literacy levels.
Therefore, the overall objective of this project is to bring a positive impact on the lives of women and girls affected by crisis and contribute to the promotion of women and girls’ resilience and social stabilisation.
Benefits
- Up to $500,000 funding will be provided
- For a proposal containing infrastructural components towards support of project implementation, the maximum budget will be $1,000,000
Eligibility
- Open to women-led and women’s rights organisations, including civil society, that are legally registered in Kenya
- Youth-led and youth-focused organisations that are legally registered in Kenya and have specialised knowledge, expertise and track record of working on youth and girls’ rights can apply
- Organisations working in marginalised and hard-to-reach areas can also apply
- International and national civil society organisations that are legally registered in Kenya, have a presence in the focused counties and have a strong track record of programming on gender equality and women’s empowerment are eligible
