World Vision International is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The mission of the organisation includes working with the poor and people who are oppressed and promoting human transformation.
Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor and implement short and long-term business plan
- Report to the board using standard reporting templates on a regular basis
- Develop and deliver on key performance indicators for VisionFund Ghana (VFG)
- Develop and implement strategic plan
- Ensure the organisation’s culture is in line with its mission and vision
- Develop proposals to acquire and maintain funding, credit lines, and other financial and non-financial resources required to attain VF objectives
- Negotiate effectively with creditors, grant bodies and other financial institutions
- Ensure compliance with conditions and reporting requirements
- Diligently manage and close grants and related projects
- Follow up with open grant audit issues
Requirements
- Minimum of master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management or a related field
- Ten years, minimum, of work experience in senior management in a micro-enterprise lending organisation, banking institution, progressive corporate environment, international business, agricultural economics/development, or economic and business development institution
- Clear understanding of microfinance industry and technology
- Experience in a regulatory environment
- Determined personality with initiative, perseverance and the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Fluency in English
- Very good communication and marketing skills
- Very good knowledge of economics and financial topics
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
