The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) has opened applications for the role of Knowledge Management Senior Analyst (Research Analyst and Knowledge Manager).

UNOPS’ mission is to serve people in need by expanding the ability of the United Nations, governments and other partners to manage projects, infrastructure, and procurement in a sustainable and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to developing a system which captures good practice
  • Work proactively with programme and project teams to identify opportunities for capturing and sharing knowledge and disseminating information about major progress and results
  • Develop, support and facilitate knowledge and information management related to implementation of the project as well as the RCO, including documentation of all key activities and learning points and producing knowledge products accordingly in order to facilitate replication of good practices and learning
  • Support periodic reporting based on research findings
  • Develop or document style guidelines for website content
  • Track, compile, and analyse website usage data
  • Collaborate with development teams to discuss, analyse, or resolve usability issues
  • Manage different platform access levels according to stakeholders’ needs
  • Contribute to liaison and advisory engagement with UN-led teams
  • Contribute to advising and monitoring risk analyses/data initiatives
  • Assist in project management support to the overall implementation of HDPP
  • Prepare abstracts and presentations for key stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as may be reasonably required

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Political Science, International Relations, International Security, Economics, Statistics, Development, Social Sciences, Journalism, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any of the aforementioned fields with two years of relevant experience
  • Two years, minimum, of experience with research and data management
  • Experience in report writing
  • Experience with the United Nations or other international organisations is an asset
  • Experience with data analysis and information management is an asset
  • Knowledge of office package
  • Fluency in oral and written French
  • Knowledge of English (desirable)
