The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking to fill the position of Supply Chain Officer.
IRC is a global humanitarian aid, relief, and development non-governmental organisation.
Responsibilities
- Assist supply country chain manager in developing and implementing transport and distribution plan for programme supplies and assets
- Attend meetings to set priorities and provide update on implementation on weekly basis
- Ensure procurement done are in procurement plans
- Serve as procurement committee secretary
- Ensure tender process prerequisites are complete
- Carry out tender document data entry and prepare tender minutes
- Prepare bid analysis, justification of award, award minutes
- Carry out reference checks, supplier visits and ATC clearance
- Maintain tenders and payments tracking sheet and follow up to completion
- Receive purchase requests from field offices and complete procurement transaction
- Compile and file market surveys from the field office and support as necessary
- Prepare contracts for review and support the field staff contracts with correct template
- File country office contracts and share tracking on monthly basis
- File and track all country office supplier ATC clearance
- File and document supplier performance and carry out due diligence
- Identify fraud and corruption red flags and address on timely manner
- Travel to field offices for tender process or other support as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree/high diploma in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Two years, minimum, of experience working as a logistician and office administrator for international NGOs
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel)
- Proficiency in English and Somali
- Able to work under pressure to pursue multiple tasks simultaneously to successful conclusions
- Positive attitude with good sense of humour
- Committed team player
