Maersk Gambia Limited has presented medical items to the health ministry in The Gambia to help tackle the Covid-19 pandemic.
The donated items included 500 face masks, 100 coverall PPE shirts, 52 boxes of gloves, 100 sanitisers and 100 goggles.
Development Dairies gathered that Maersk Gambia had earlier donated two units of reefer refrigerator for corpses to the ministry and rice to Banjul City Council for onward distribution to Banjulians.
The Managing Director at Maersk Gambia, Ugochukwu Opiah, noted that the firm was doing its best to assist governments around the world to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic.
The representative of the Director of National Pharmaceutical Services, Emily Jagne, said that the items will greatly benefit the country.
