The European Union (EU) has announced a call for proposals to optimise the contribution of land to agriculture, food security, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and the preservation of ecosystems and of the essential services in Sao Tome and Principe.
The proposed EU action for sustainable landscape management is linked to the Global Climate Change Alliance initiative. It aims at contributing to achieving a number of sustainable development goals (SDGs), while responding to several priorities identified in the European consensus on development.

Eligibility
- Be a legal person
- Be a non-profit-making organisation
- Be a specific type of organisation such as a non-governmental organisation
- Be established in a European Union member state, or in an African country
- Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary
