The Hague Institute for Innovation of Law (HiiL) has invited startups that are transforming the justice sector to join the Innovating Justice Challenge 2020.
Since 2011, HiiL is understood to have successfully funded, trained and scaled over 110 startups worldwide.
Benefits

- Winner will get €20,000, first runner-up will receive €10,000, while the second runner-up will be paid €5,000
Eligibility
- Open to innovators from Africa
- Applicant must have products or services that prevent or resolve justice problems (e.g. help people to get access to legal services, work on removing barriers for people to access financial services, or get a registered identity, preventing (digital) fraud, tracking crime, etc.)
- Applicants are already showing serious traction and measurable impact
- Applicant must have a strong business model with the potential to become financially sustainable
- Applicant must have the ambition and plan to scale across different markets
- Teams should be led by a strong, experienced, and inspiring founder(s)
