Attend: GTR East Africa 2020

What: GTR East Africa 2020

When: 01–02 October, 2020

Where: Radisson Blu Hotel, Upper Hill, Nairobi, Kenya

Global Trade Review (GTR) is pleased to announce that GTR East Africa 2020 will now take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Upper Hill, Nairobi, Kenya, on 01–02 October, 2020,  having been rescheduled from its original date of May 14–15 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The event provides a crucial opportunity to take stock of the pandemic’s seismic impact on global trade, and assess the role of the trade finance industry as nations work to rebuild economic activity. The business challenges of 2019 may pale in significance in light of unprecedented current events; that they are addressed becomes an ever more pressing need as governments look to physical commerce to boost economic resilience. East Africa will need to adapt to a post-Covid-19 world while continuing those regional economic integration and diversification initiatives that hold great promise for the continent.

Welcoming a wide spectrum of trade experts, from banks, insurers and technology providers to corporates, sovereign borrowers and developmental institutions, two days of networking and debate will cover the new trade financing requirements and challenges encountered across key value-add industry, commodities and infrastructure development sectors, and assess the key financing players, techniques and trade digitisation initiatives capable of bolstering the region’s economic recovery through trade.
