What: Civil Society Roundtable on the Rule of Law in Nigeria
When: 12 November, 2020
Where: Online
World Justice Project (WJP), CLEEN Foundation and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) have announced their readiness to host the Civil Society Roundtable on the Rule of Law in Nigeria.
It is understood, according to the organisers, that the discussion will feature new findings for Nigeria from the WJP Rule of Law Index 2020.
Based on more than 130,000 household surveys and 4,000 legal practitioner and expert surveys worldwide, the 2020 Index provides a comprehensive comparative analysis of countries’ adherence to universal rule of law principles.
To anchor the discussion in data, WJP will present insights from the Nigeria country profile, along with key findings from the expert and household surveys that underpin Nigeria’s scores and rankings.
Following this presentation, the CLEEN Foundation will provide comments on Nigeria’s current context and how the data can be used by civil society organisations to monitor and strengthen the rule of law.
