The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Administration Officer.
UNOPS’ mission is to serve people in need by expanding the ability of the United Nations, governments and other partners to manage projects, infrastructure, and procurement in a sustainable and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Ensure stock management system and regular inventory control system are in place and operational
- Ensure a proper management and record keeping for project assets including accounting and monitoring depreciation
- Monitor storage and distribution, and ensure close coordination of storage and distribution activities
- Conduct a gap analysis of the current receipt, storage and distribution system and develop strategies to improve the system
- Actively interact with other PMs to share case studies, lessons learnt and best practices on the knowledge system
- Provide feedback to practice leads on policy, supporting guidance and aim towards continuous improvement of UNOPS policies
- Supervise, guide and train logistics personnel on proper management and record keeping
- Support and advise on logistic operation activities of the operations
Requirements
- Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Project Management, Logistics, Emergency Management, International Relations, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business administration, Project Management Logistics, Emergency Management, International Relations, or related field with two years of relevant professional experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree
- Three years, minimum, of experience in logistics, preferably in conflict or post-conflict duty stations
- Fluency in French and English
