United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking to fill the role of Project Management Specialist.

UNDP works in nearly 170 countries and territories, helping to achieve the eradication of poverty, and the reduction of inequalities and exclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee key assessments, feasibility studies and other quantitative and qualitative research in support of project development and design, including institutional capacity assessments, infrastructure assessments, community and police perception surveys, assessments for behaviour change communication campaigns
  • Lead and facilitate consultation and validation workshops with key clients including UN agencies, international partners and donors to identify key priorities and complementarities between the project and other existing initiatives in support of the same area
  • Ensure annual workplan is in line with the overall direction set by the project document and leads to achievement of project targets
  • Ensure implementation of annual workplan and agreed deadlines

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Public Administration, Social Sciences, International Studies, or a management and development-related field
  • Five years, minimum, of professional experience in implementing programme, policy, programming, operations and resources mobilisation
  • Experience working in developing country is essential
  • Knowledge and work experience in DRC will be a plus
  • Fluency in French and English (written and oral)
