Save the Children International has opened applications for the role of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEAL).
The organisation works to ensure children around the world get health care, food and shelter as well as learning and child protection services.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the overall MEAL system
- Conduct quality monitoring visits against quality benchmarks
- Support the programme team to appropriately report on indicators
- Support the programme team to ensure learning and accountability systems are working effectively in the areas of operation, including routine collection of feedback from beneficiaries
- Ensure data is stored appropriately in a central location that is accessible to programme and MEAL staff
Requirements
- Diploma in project management or data management related field
- Data collection, analysis, and reporting experience
- Familiarity with project management cycle
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection and data analysis
- Commitment to and understanding of SCI vision, mission and values
- Enthusiasm, motivation, self-confidence, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability in community mobilisation and community-level dialogue
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other data management software
- Excellent communication skills
- Political and cultural sensitivity, with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy
- Capacity and willingness to be extremely flexible and accommodating in difficult and, sometimes, insecure working circumstances
- Commitment to the aims and principles of the organisation
- Good understanding of the organisation’s mandate
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Experience working through systems of community participation
- Strong representation, advocacy and communication skills
