Plan International is seeking to fill the position of Supply Chain Officer.

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.

Responsibilities

  • Track regular orders for Bossangoa
  • Make the assessment of suppliers and submit it to supervisor
  • Make monthly report of the sub-office purchases
  • Guarantee quality of purchases and services rendered
  • Monitor the implementation of technical activities related to supply chain of Bossangoa sub-office
  • Check and improve safety equipment in vehicles
  • Train drivers on Plan International’s rules of conduct
  • Ensure proper functioning and use of safety-related equipment (telecoms, vehicles, etc.)
  • Make updates in the tracepoint system for the maintenance of vehicles
  • Guarantee the management of stocks and equipment
  • Ensure the maintenance and safety of all equipment and property of Plan International in Bossangoa
  • Establish contracts with equipment maintenance providers
  • Monitor lease management and maintenance of buildings
  • Maintain generator sets and solar installations
  • Ensure proper physical and electronic archiving of logistics documents
  • Manage waste (liquids and consumables of users)
  • Responsible for transport management
  • Ensure the management of guesthouses and offices
  • Organise the transport of people and goods between Bria and working grounds

Requirements

  • Diploma in Management, Administration, Economics or a related field
  • Two years, minimum, of professional experience as an officer in a support function in a humanitarian context
  • Methodical and strategic reflection
  • Good communication skills (oral and written )
  • Master of French and good knowledge of English
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Experience working with different donor agencies
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Have a sense of supervision
  • Knowledge of protection standards and practices, including the protection of children and the prevention of sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment, and commitment to integrate and follow them in a complex programme
