Plan International is seeking to fill the role of Project Specialist, Women Pioneers for the Future Project II.

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.

Responsibilities

  • Develop gender equality in workplace manual and related tools to be delivered to private sector companies in close cooperation with the project team and PIE’s economic empowerment and gender advisors
  • Support and facilitate work related to the (Boost Her manual), process, coaching, mentoring and relationship management with private sector companies and financial institutions
  • Support the project team in building and enhancing the relationships with the private sector and financial institutions at the project areas of intervention
  • Facilitate meetings related to the private sector and financial institutions
  • Provide the technical support/capacity-building to the team on wage-employment and self-employment tracks
  • Develop tools to communicate and introduce the GEEIS label to the private sector
  • Accompany and support companies to obtain the GEEIS label
  • Capture learning of the project and set the course of action for the project so that project team can follow specifically in the parts related to job fairs and financial assistance (grants/loans) for women entrepreneurs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, or a related field
  • Master’s degree in Economics, Gender Development, or a related field preferred
  • Four years of experience, including two years, minimum, in programme/curriculum/manual development
  • Two years, minimum, of experience in economic, business, gender development, research, mentoring, coaching, training and stakeholder relations
  • Four years, minimum, of economic empowerment and manual development experience preferred
