Malala Fund has opened applications for the post of Fundraising Consultant.
Registered as a public charity in the United Kingdom (UK) and the United States (U.S.), Malala Fund is working toward a world where all girls can learn for 12 years and lead without fear.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the fundraising potential for Malala Fund in Nigeria
- Develop a detailed pipeline of potential funding prospects in the region
- Provide recommendations on fundraising approach and strategy implementation including an operational growth plan
- Work closely with and take direction from the Business Development Manager and collaborate with other members of the fundraising team as necessary
Requirements
- Detailed evaluation of the current fundraising landscape in Nigeria including cultural nuances, fundraising norms and practices, relevant local to global contexts, key dates and subcultures of philanthropy
- Analysis of how similar international NGOs fundraise within the region and who makes up their donor base
- Recommendations on how Malala Fund should engage and solicit major donors/legacy donors, corporations/foundations, grassroots organisations/community groups, and digital donors within Nigeria to maximise giving
- Based on the above recommendations, provide a list of 30 prospects broken down by the above audience types and priority level
