The Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ) is inviting applications for five news impact reporters and an editor to man the News Impact Desk it is creating.
FIJ is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that combats injustice, holds power to account and speaks for the voiceless.
Responsibilities
- Work to improve public access to the media for social justice
- Manage a help desk for members of the public facing some form of social injustice
- Helping members of the public to take advantage of communication technology to secure direct access to the newsroom
Requirements
- Experience in a line editing role in the newsroom
- Reporters with a burning passion for using journalism to fight oppression and injustice
- Entry-level applicants are welcome, but the ideal candidates must have done journalism before, regardless of length of experience
- Mastery of English language
