The Family Health International (FHI 360) is seeking to fill the role of Director of Finance and Operations.

FHI 360 delivers sustainable, high-quality, comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support services.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure administrative and financial leadership of programme
  • Ensure quality, timeliness, and efficiency of project setup, daily operations, and closeout
  • Take charge of financial and administrative aspects of project, including budget development and monitoring, prime award monitoring and compliance, sub-award management, procurement, and logistics
  • Establish and maintain sound financial management practices and ensure the project’s compliance with FHI 360 and USAID acquisition and agreement procedures, rules and regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
  • Master’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Ten years, minimum, of relevant experience in administrative and financial management, including overseeing the finance and operations of equally large and complex projects
  • 20 years of experience in financial and operational management of USAID contracts as well as experience in working on contracts
  • Experience in MENA region
  • Demonstrated experience in Egypt
  • Knowledge of generally-accepted accounting, budgeting and fiscal control principles
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in developing and managing large budget of $10 million dollars or larger
  • Relevant skills in automated accounting software systems and database spreadsheets
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective working relations with staff and partners
  • Demonstrated knowledge of USAID rules, regulations, policies, and procedures as they relate to project and programme compliance and reporting
  • Fluency in English and Arabic
