The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has opened applications for its Tertiary Institutions Entrepreneurship Scheme (TIES).

The scheme was introduced by the CBN to boost economic growth and reduce unemployment among graduates of Nigeria polytechnics and universities.

It is understood that the scheme is aimed at creating a paradigm shift among undergraduates and graduates from the pursuit of white collar jobs to a culture of entrepreneurship geared towards job creation, economic growth and sustainable development.

Benefits

  • Top five Nigerian polytechnics and universities with the best entrepreneurial pitches/ideas shall receive between N250 million and N50 million in the form of grants

Eligibility

  • Startups and budding businesses must cover agribusiness, information technology, creative industry, and science and technology
