AFS Intercultural Programmes has opened applications for the 2022 Global STEM Accelerators programme.
The full scholarship programme is designed for girls who are active global citizens and energised to help solve some of today’s biggest global challenges.
Women around the world currently make up more than half of the college-educated workforce. However, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields are made up of only 28 percent women.
Therefore, this programme aims to provide an opportunity for girls from around the world to explore their interests in STEM.

- Scholars who complete the programme will earn the advanced certificate on global competence for social impact
Eligibility
- Applicants must be 15 to 17 years of age at the programme start date
- Applicants must have the ability to participate fully, both online and in a classroom setting, in a programme conducted entirely in English
- Interest in STEM, sustainability, and global competencies is mandatory
- Applicants must be curious and willing to interact with diverse global peers and explore new cultures
- Applicants must have the ability to use computer, smartphone or other digital devices to access the virtual programme content
