We urge the NCAA to promptly back its announcement with decisive actions by implementing and enforcing strict penalties against airlines that fail to refund passengers for canceled or delayed flights beyond five hours. This should include setting up a streamlined complaint resolution system, publicising clear timelines for refunds, and ensuring transparency in airlines’ operations to restore confidence in air travel.

Cash scarcity worsens as banks’ upgraded digital platforms falter – The Guardian

A few months after most banks claimed to have upgraded their digital infrastructure to serve their customers better, their services have deteriorated with users experiencing what appear to be the worst offerings seen so far.

We call on the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to urgently intervene to address the worsening cash scarcity. The CBN should enforce stricter regulatory oversight on banks to ensure the functionality of their digital platforms and review withdrawal limits to ease the cash crunch. Swift and decisive action is needed to mitigate the economic and social hardships caused by this crisis.
