The Foundwork Artist Prize is an annual award that recognises outstanding practice by contemporary artists.
Foundwork is a place for artists to introduce their work to people across the global contemporary art community.
The purpose of the platform is to enable greater access between artists, curators, and collaborators wherever they are based.
Benefits
- The honoree will receive an unrestricted $10,000 grant and studio visits with the jurors who include progressive curators, gallerists, and artists
- The honoree and three short-listed artists will be featured in interviews
Eligibility
- Open to all African artists, except those from Sudan
- Be at least 18 years old
- Applicant must not be a Foundwork employee or related to an employee/contractor of the company
- Applicant must have at least five published artworks
