Apply: World Vision Capacity Building Facilitator

Location: Mauritania

The World Vision International is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Capacity Building Facilitator.

The mission of the organisation includes working with the poor and people who are oppressed, promoting human transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the reception and exchange of information among representatives of civil society in the different types of problems they face
  • Guide and inform on funding avenues accessible to CBOs
  • Provide support for setting up and monitoring micro-projects
  • Offer a support/advice service for setting up business plans and guidance for access to credit
  • Offer tailor-made training to OCBs for their development
  • Maintain contact with other houses of civil society in Mauritania

Requirements

  • Degree in Social Sciences, Organisational Management or Development Studies
  • Five years, minimum, of experience in the management of grassroots community organisations
  • Experience working with local public authorities
  • Proven knowledge of grassroots community organisations and texts governing the creation and support of civil society organisations in Mauritania
  • Good understanding of World Vision programmatic activities
  • Experience working on local level advocacy projects
