United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Social Policy Officer.

Responsibilities
- Strengthen social protection coverage and impact for children
- Provide technical, capacity and coordination support for robust programme implementation of the Maternal and Child Cash Transfer programme at state level
- Contribute to Knowledge products, tools and technical inputs for the expansion of the MCCT
- Manage UNICEF programme
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in Economics, Development Studies, Finance, Public Policy, Political Science, or another relevant technical field
- University degree in a relevant field combined with two year’s of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree
- Two years, minimum, of relevant professional experience in social protection/social sector programme management and monitoring and evaluation
- Knowledge of social protection policy debates and evidence (desirable)
- Knowledge and experiences in working on integrated, systems-based approaches (including linkages with social work case management)
- Experience in data and knowledge management
- Familiarity with cash transfers in emergency situation is a strong asset
- Fluency in English
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset
