Plan International has opened applications for the role of Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator.

Responsibility

  • Develop monitoring and evaluation plan for the UNPBF project
  • Develop a monitoring and evaluation plan for county activities
  • Monitor and evaluate financial and programmatic goals
  • Ensure the effective implementation of instruments and mechanisms for monitoring and evaluation of the project
  • Ensure work plans, implementation and monitoring plans are agreed with the MERL manager
  • Ensure the technical preparation of project monitoring activities
  • Advise the project team with regard to the good performance of data, quality control of data and reports
  • Train project staff in the use of MERL tools for tracking, and establish mechanisms for monitoring/evaluation and use of the monitoring system
  • Coordinate management procedures and monitor training and other project activities
  • Ensure that the monitoring system has updated the progress of results and target data
  • Collect information on specific action

Requirements

  • University degree in Social Sciences, Health, or a related field
  • Three years, minimum, of experience in monitoring and evaluation
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation system, approach and practices
  • Proven experience working with partners
  • Ability to work in a team and ensure proper supervision
  • Capacity planning and organisation
  • Capacity for analysis, presenting information
  • Good level of proficiency in Windows Excel and quantitative analysis
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in oral and written English
  • Experience in a non-governmental organisation or in the United Nations (desirable)
