Land is Life has opened applications for its Indigenous Women’s Programme Fellowship.

The fellowship empowers indigenous women and their organisations across Africa, Asia, and the Americas to claim their rights to land and natural resources, enhance their livelihoods, and safeguard their communities’ entitlements.

Benefits

  • Personalised mentoring from indigenous women leaders with proven experience advancing Indigenous Peoples’ rights
  • Fellows will receive funding and technical support of up to $3,000 to design and implement a community-level project
  • Stipend of $3,600 to support participation throughout the programme
  • Monthly training sessions on key topics related to Indigenous Peoples’ rights
  • Leadership development to strengthen indigenous women’s voices and decision-making power
  • Networking opportunities to build alliances with partners at various levels
  • Advocacy support to participate in national and international decision-making spaces

Eligibility

  • Indigenous women between 18 and 35 years old
  • Applicants must not have previously participated as Land is Life fellows.
