Danish Refugee Council (DRC) has opened applications for the position of Business Controller

DRC fulfills its mandate by providing direct assistance to conflict-affected populations – refugees, internally displaced people (IDPs) and host communities in the conflict areas of the world.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational aspects regarding donor projects, from creation to the preparation of financial statements to donors, including contact with the external auditor
• Monitor and control affairs related to projects
• Business controlling of country operations and advising country management
• Training of colleagues in internal procedures and risk management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
• Experience in accounting (preferably in an international organisation)
• Ability to translate accounting issues to manageable solutions and being comfortable in bringing these solutions to colleagues and manager
• Experienced user of ERP systems
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and/or Spanish
