Old Mutual has donated food to needy families in the regional councils of Zambezi and Ohangwena, Namibia, making it nine regions they have supported with food amid the Covid-19.
Development Diaries learnt that Old Mutual has reached nearly 2,200 households in the nine regions.
Old Mutual, in a statement, said that the latest contribution came to just over N$225,000, bringing the total for food aid to N$940,000.
‘Old Mutual fulfil its commitment as a certain friend in uncertain times and through this gesture, continue to demonstrate the ethos of being a responsible and caring business’, the National Sales Manager for the northern regions at Old Mutual, Ruben Nikanor, said.
He thanked the governor’s offices and the national health emergency management committee that played an important role in determining the content of nutritious food parcels.
