West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) is seeking the services of In-Country Research Consultants.
WACSI is a civil society knowledge sharing hub and a credible centre of learning with continental and international recognition.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyse data on both the state of public health systems prior to Covid-19
and now - Collect and analyse data on public investments on responding to Covid-19
- Analyse the adequacy of resource investments in responding to Covid-19 and ability
to build a resilient society to withstand the outbreak of another mutant of Covid-19
or any other future pandemic - Proffer tailored recommendations to CSOs, policymakers (national and regional), and
development partners - Develop a research report and submit the initial draft for review and feedback
- Review and submit the final in-country research report
- Participate in weekly research reflection meetings
Requirements
- The consultant should demonstrate working research experience in the selected field
- A good working knowledge of the English language
- The consultant must have the required human and logistical resources to undertake the exercise
- Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Excellent analytical and report writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to facilitate
FGDs, conduct expert interviews and work in a multidisciplinary team - Knowledgeable about the public health sector
