Plan International, Ghana has opened applications for the role of a Grants Finance Coordinator.

Responsibilities
- Support the continuous orientation of staff on timesheets and related matters
- Follow up on timesheets from support staff for salary cost recovery every month
- Prepare a checklist and update the grant accountant on timesheets received from full time and support staff per month
- Prepare LoE recovery journals on Monthly basis
- Support the creation of internal orders for partner advance disbursement
- Follow up on outstanding grant partner liquidations for timely submission
- Support the grant accountant to review all partner liquidations submitted to the country office and prepare a review report to be shared with the accountant
- Follow up on issues raised during partner liquidation review and ensure corrections are made by partners
- Liquidate advance in system applications and products (SAP) as per third party advance and liquidation procedures
- Support the grants accountant in budgeting for new proposals
- Ensure that unspent amount of grants budget from previous years are re-phased into current fiscal year and subsequent years such that the grant value is equal to grants budget at all times
- Prepare grant budget upload templates and upload budgets for new grants
- Prepare excel template and upload work breakdown structure (WBS) derivations/mapping in SAP for new FADs
- Prepare schedules and pass entries for monthly salary and overhead cost recovery
- Prepare financial reports and BvA analyses for smaller grants per the grant reporting schedule
- Support the upload of modifications into SAP to enable expenditure on grants
- Support the grants finance remediation phase three ongoing process/ data cleansing exercises and pass entries to clear all outstanding partner advance balances
- Follow up and ensure that grant expenditure charged to NRGRANT is cleared by the CO/PIIA accountants every month
- Support during project audits
- Support in the country budgeting process
Requirements
- First degree in Accounting
- Three years, minimum, of experience in a similar role
- Communicates clearly and effectively
- Independent, objective, integrity and gives attention to details
- Organised, methodic and meticulous
- Good communication skills (both oral and written)
- Good computer skills including proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets and the use of accounting package
- Team work
- Good accounting, analytical and judgement skills
- Good coordination skills
- Ability to deliver to tight deadlines
- Fair knowledge of budget preparing and financial reporting
