Programme Manager at Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative and former Programme Officer at Aid for Rural Education Access Initiative (AREAi), Adam Opeloyeru, was a year older on 05 May. He took to his Twitter account, saying, ‘I’m +1 today. Please, kindly say a prayer for me’.
Adam is a community development evangelist, statistician, social and digital media strategist, and creative thinker. He is a patriotic, industrious, and vibrant youth, with brilliant tracks in entrepreneurship, research, project management, and public speaking.
He is a fashionpreneur and the brain behind Adam Couture, a fashion brand in Lagos, Nigeria. He is a good governance and sustainable development goals (SDGs) advocate, as well as a serial volunteer for well-meaning national and international non-governmental organisations (NGOs), including Brain Builders International (BBI), Enough Is Enough Nigeria (EiE), Rising Child Foundation (RCF), Society Empowerment for Transformation Initiative (SETI), Purple Care Initiative (PCI), amongst others.
Adam is an effective leader with democratic ideals, which have ensured team building, growth of colleagues, and efficient service delivery. He has experience of working on diplomacy and entrepreneurship-related issues. He has had opportunities to interact with people from various parts of the world during his travels, both in an official capacity and otherwise, and observing their cultures and traditional practices related to youth development.
Adam is a good example of someone who creates success on his terms. He uses fashion to amplify his ideas and portray Nigeria in a good light. All these have enabled him to build a respectable portfolio as a major contributor to many issues of national and international interest.
