UN Women, in partnership with the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), has announced a call for proposals to strengthen rural women’s resilience to disaster through innovative solutions.
UN Women and UNCDF seeks to identify inclusive, high-impact solutions that offer an opportunity to accelerate the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development for the people, particularly the rural women, of Malawi, Liberia, Mali, Senegal, and Haiti.
Benefits
- UNCDF and UN Women contributions may be up to U.S.$50,000
Eligibility
- Applicant/lead must be registered entity with at least three years of operations and must have statutory accounts and audited financial statements for at least three operating years
- Lead applicant must have conducted or associated with similar kind of work
- Applicants can be based anywhere globally; however the operations of the applicants should target women smallholder farmers in the aforementioned countries
- Applicants can apply only once under, whether independently or in a consortium
- Joint applications between market players in the target country or countries are encouraged if the solution proposed will expand delivery networks and promote rural and/or other last-mile access to disaster risk reduction services
- Applications from consortiums of organisations must show that the partnership was established prior to this call for applications
- Lead applicant and partner must be legally registered entities
