The Executive Director of Yiaga Africa, Samson Itodo, has thanked every one that made his birthday, 11 August, so special.
Samson, the convener of the successful #NotTooYoungToRun movement in Nigeria, must have felt the full weight of love and appreciation as he took to his social media handles to express how the birthday messages and gifts moved him.
‘[I am] humbled and moved by the outpouring of love, gifts, prayers, and birthday wishes [I have] received on this street (social media). My heart is full of appreciation, and may the lines fall in pleasant places for you all. Thank you’, he wrote as seen on Twitter and Facebook.
Samson’s #NotTooYoungToRun campaign has been adopted by the United Nations, the African Union, and ECOWAS as a global campaign for youth political inclusion.
Additionally, this admirable Nigerian and African leads ‘Watching the Vote’, a citizen-led election observation initiative that promotes electoral integrity. He has led international election observation missions across Africa and in the United States of America.
