Nigeria: NCI Plc Makes Covid-19 Relief Donations

As Nigeria continues to battle the Covid-19 pandemic, well-meaning individuals and organisations continue, with numerous donations, to show solidarity with the government in its efforts to curb the virus. Notore Chemicals Industries (NCI) Plc has joined the fight against Covid-19 by donating truckloads of food items and relief materials to Alode, Koniju, and Onne communities in Rivers State as part of its corporate social responsibility.

The company’s Group Chief Technical Officer, Bode Agagu, who represented the Managing Director presented the relief materials to the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Dr Tammy Danagogo.

The organisation which also embarked on community sensitisation along with the distribution of food items and relief materials said that they are helping vulnerable groups cope with the impact of the pandemic as part of their mission to enhance the quality of life.

They said, ‘In addition to the donation of food items, we also embarked on community awareness campaigns to sensitise the people on the severity of the pandemic and urged them to stay cautious’.

As part of their safety awareness efforts, NCI distributed T-shirts branded with safety and prevention measures, while also mounting billboards and banners at strategic locations.
