Welcome to our live coverage of the Osun State 2022 governorship election.
Voting ended at 02.30pm across the 3,763 polling units in the 30 local government areas (LGAs) that make up the southwest state.
The election was held in the 30 LGAs, comprising 332 wards and 3,763 polling units, on Saturday, 16 July, 2022.
This thread was open to everybody in Ekiti who is participating in the election. Voters and observers are encouraged to use the comment form below to report activities at the various polling units and collation centres.

05:00pm: Counting of votes have been completed at polling unit 009 (Iwara), ward one, in Atakumosa East with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) scoring 14 votes and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) getting 31.
04:30pm: Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested at least three suspects over allegations of vote-buying in the election. Some of the suspects were arrested around polling unit 002, ward two, Ifelodun street, in Osogbo.
03:35pm: Counting was ongoing as at 02:30pm at polling 020, ward four (Ataoja D), in Osogbo LGA.
03:30pm: Report from polling unit 013, ward six, in Ila LGA confirms that sorting of ballot papers begun at 02:56pm in the presence of security operatives and party agents.
03:15pm: We can confirm that voting has ended and the counting of votes has begun at polling unit 014, ward five, in Osogbo LGA.
03:00pm: Voting has ended at polling unit 016, ward five (Alusekere), in Ede North.
02:35pm: Voting has ended at polling unit 001, ward six, in Ifedayo LGA. INEC officials are now sorting the votes
02:30pm: Voting is going on smoothly at polling unit 005, ward two, in Irewole LGA. PWDs and the elderly are given priority.
12:00pm: Secret vote-buying is taking place at polling unit 016, ward five, in Osogbo LGA, according to Situation Room observers. Voters, according to the observers, are meeting with the party agents to inform them after voting and the party agents are also confirming if truly they have voted for their party.

11:50am: It is reported that party agents are inducing voters in an uncompleted building at polling unit 010, ward four (Ido/Osun), in Egbedore LGA.
11:45am: At polling unit 002, ward five, in Ifelodun LGA, Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) is malfunctioning and people are complaining but the environment is peaceful, according to Situation Room.

10:40am: Report from Nigerian Women Trust Fund shows a good turnout of people living with disabilities (PWDs) at polling unit 006 in Olorunda LGA. However, the polling unit is not easily accessible for them. Priority voting is given to PWDs and the elderly.
