‘Today we are grateful that the confidence has been reposed in us to stir the affairs for the LNRCS for the next four years and therefore we will be robust in consolidating the gains and sustaining the national society in moving forward’.

It is understood that in Liberia, the ICRC promotes detainee welfare, provides water and sanitation, supports the Liberian National Red Cross Society, and promotes international humanitarian law.
In addition, the organisation supports Ivorians who have fled violence in their own country and the Liberians hosting them.
