The Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumni Association (MWFAAN), in collaboration with the United States Mission in Nigeria, has announced a call for participation in the 2021 Beyond School Community Challenge (BSCC).
BSCC is a national, social entrepreneurship competition that discovers, mentors, and funds indigenous solutions to critical community problems and needs identified by high school students selected from across Nigeria.
It aims to engage young people creatively to develop entrepreneurial skills which will be marketable beyond the four walls of learning.
Benefits
- Winner will receive N400,000
- The first runner-up will be awarded N350,000
- The second runner-up will get N250,000
- All 30 students will share N300,000
- Best Teacher Award is N100,000
Eligibility
- Applicants must be a team of four, consisting of three young people, between the ages of 13 and 17, and a teacher/mentor aged 20 years and above
- All teams, schools or educational institutions must be based in Nigeria
- Applicants must have access to strong and reliable internet
- Applicants must be willing to grant both print and electronic media interviews if selected
