World Vision International (WVI) is seeking to fill the role of Reporting and Accountability Officer.

Responsibilities
- Oversee, manage and improve established beneficiary complaints and feedback/accountability mechanism
- Prepare and disseminate reports on the cases registered through the SUPREME accounting and reporting system
- Provide timely feedback to PMU teams on complaints and concerns raised by communities on project activities
- Support partners to maintain an effective system for recording all complaints resolved and pending issues including correspondence and other related documents for quick and easy reference
- Support partners to communicate and disseminate complaints
- Analyse data and submit internal and accurate reports to the concerned managers on quarterly basis
- Conduct regular spot-checks of partner beneficiary awareness on the accountability and reporting procedures
- Support partners to establish a system of referral for follow-up or protection, critical complaints and follow-up on status progress of referred cases
- Liaise with relevant partners and stakeholders for closure of all complaints within the established time frame
- Support partners to regularly communicate with beneficiaries to provide feedback to their complaints
- Support partners to ensure that confidentiality of complaint data is maintained at all times
- Build staff awareness and commitment to complaints mechanism, ensuring that all SOPs are respected
- Submit high quality donor reports, including monthly stirp and narrative on a timely basis, ensuring that the documents are included, complete, correct and approved by the respective component managers and PMU
- Work closely with the MEAL coordinator and finance teams to develop standard reporting templates and tools that will support improved narrative, log frame and financial reporting
- Maintain knowledge of SUPREME grant agreement language and regulations, serving as a knowledge resource on assigned donors and escalating questions where needed
- Keep the MEAL coordinator informed of any reporting and documentation gaps and inabilities to meet contractual obligations and report submission
- Compile and respond to information requests from support offices
- Ensure questions and comments from donors, auditors and internal evaluators are addressed by reminding partners of the internal and external deadlines
- Coordinate regular monitoring of the partner activities as well as regular and timely activity reviews
- Oversee a comprehensive information management and filing system, ensuring donor contractual documents, reports, and key correspondence are consistently and frequently filed
- Document all revisions, modifications, no-cost extensions, or budget realignments
- Provide support to the SUPREME programme manager in liaison or representation to donors, tracking key donor correspondence
- Ensure effective channels of internal and external communications relating to SUPREME programme are established and respected
- Participate in SUPREME donor meetings including strategic planning and progress review meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Development Studies or Social Sciences
- Three years, minimum, of past experience, preferable with an NGO or UN agency in a reporting and compliance role
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently
- Excellent self-motivation skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
- Experience in refugee programming in any settlements in Uganda
- Ability to work both as a motivating member and a leader of a diverse team
- Computer literacy
