World Vision International is seeking to fill the role of Senior Resource Development Manager.

The mission of World Vision International includes working with the poor and people who are oppressed as it promotes human transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a resource development business plan to guide strategic interactions with potential donors and partners
  • Proactively build strong networks and relationships with key donors
  • Represent World Vision Uganda (WVU) at a meeting involving donors
  • Represent WVU in negotiations with donors over grant contracts, etc
  • Maintain a strong overall awareness of donor trends and awareness of specific, relevant grant opportunities
  • Facilitate and coordinate interactions among WVU colleagues (including technical specialists and senior leadership) and key donor representatives
  • Engage with World Vision support offices in order to support donor interactions in global capitals
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and disseminate information resources that can enhance donor engagement

Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant field (master’s degree is preferred)
  • Five years, minimum, of experience in programme design and/or proposal development
  • Significant experience tied to government donor relations and fundraising is essential
  • Excellent writing skills
  • People management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all staff members and other key partners
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Leadership and team-building ability
  • Ability to provide spiritual leadership to team
  • Good planning and organisational skills
