World Vision International is seeking to fill the role of Project Officer.
The mission of the organisation includes working with the poor and people who are oppressed as it promotes human transformation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and quality in PDDs
- Ensure proper and timely implementation of ED interventions in projects as per approved PDDs, the organisation’s standards and donor requirements
- Develop quality reports in line with the organisation’s reporting guidelines
- Build the capacity of communities and partners on monitoring, including using Savings Groups MIS, MFI, BF, agribusiness and/or LVCD data collection forms
- Ensure that the key laws, polices, regulations and government service delivery standards in economic development/empowerment are shared, interpreted and explained to communities
- Ensure advocacy on economic empowerment issues
- Promote accountability, compliance and good stewardship
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business Management, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Marketing, Public Health Economics, or a related field
- Two years, minimum, of relevant experience at community level
- Experience in community engagements and partnerships including ministries of trade, cooperatives, planning, social services and agriculture
- Practical business knowledge with emphasis on marketing and financial management
- Research, monitoring and evaluation skills will be a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
