The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator.

WFP works to ensure the most vulnerable populations, especially women and children, can access the nutritious food they need.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership in the areas of diversity and inclusion, with a specific focus on gender parity
  • Support the HR team with the development and the implementation of the different gender action plan activities (including internship programme, employer branding, university relationships, mentoring programme, etc)
  • Identify new ways of increasing the organisation’s diversity and inclusion figures effectively
  • Monitor the progress of the actual gender action plan activities on the ground, report and recommend adjustments adapted to the local context
  • Participate and contribute to the national, comparative ‘employer’ surveys to understand how WFP is perceived as an employer vis-à-vis others and what the improvement areas are
  • Develop and maintain relationship with the local universities and associations to widen WFP’s outreach to potential qualified, diverse candidates
  • Define a value proposition to create a sustainable collaboration between WFP and the different external local partners
  • Improve effectiveness and success in recruiting and retaining diverse talent
  • Actively research new approaches, activities and best practices that address common diversity and inclusion challenges and opportunities
  • Create and increase awareness, commitment and accountability among management team for diversity and inclusion agenda
  • Ensure management commitment towards the diversity and inclusion agenda, with special attention to WFP gender parity action plan
  • Keep abreast of diversity and inclusion best practices and disseminate as required

Requirements

  • Master or bachelor’s degree with additional years of experience in Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, Organisational Development, Human Sciences
  • Five years, minimum, of professional experience in human resources talent management, diversity and inclusion coordination or a similar area
  • Strong communication, engagement and facilitation skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong partnership with associations, universities and other external actors
  • Proven knowledge of talent acquisition, employer branding and sourcing methods
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) with solid analytical and reporting skills
