United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is seeking to fill the role of Supply and Logistics Associate.

Responsibilities

  • In consultation with supervisor, participate in the forecasting, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the supply chain operations, including establishment of performance indicators
  • Support supply emergency preparedness and response activities including establishment of long-term arrangements, logistics capacity assessment and contingency plan update
  • Provide input to and advice on the annual supply plan
  • Conduct data review and analysis for category management and development of procurement strategies
  • Provide logistics input to the supply plan, including advising on infrastructure constraints and different delivery mechanisms
  • Advise on budget requirements for various delivery modalities and ensure establishment of budget with clients

Requirements

  • Secondary school education, preferably supplemented with technical or university courses related to Supply Chain, Business Administration, Contract/Commercial Law, or a similar field
  • Six years, minimum, of relevant professional experience in supply chain management or a commercial context
  • Understanding of development and humanitarian work is a plus
  • Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is an asset
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is an asset
