Mercy Corps is seeking applications from eligible candidates for the role of Human Resource Assistant.

Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and digital format
- Update HR databases and HRIS with relevant changes
- Support HR officer learning and development plans for all MCN offices
- Prepare paperwork for HR policies and procedures
- Administer HR correspondence to new and existing team members
- Process employees’ requests and provide relevant information
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Coordinate HR projects, meetings, team bonding and training seminars
- Collaborate with the talent acquisition officer to post job ads on career pages and process incoming resumes
- Provide orientations for new employees by sharing onboarding packages and explaining company policies
- Ensure that all employees are organised and satisfied in their work environment
- Provide communication systems by identifying needs, evaluating options, maintaining equipment, approving administrative procurement purchase orders and invoices
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management/Administration or a related field
- One year, minimum, of professional experience in multiple human resource disciplines
- Proven work experience as an HR intern
- Experience with HR software, such as Bamboo HR, HRIS or HCM
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, internet searching, and applicant tracking systems and use of social media for sourcing talent
- Ability to communicate, influence and solve problems effectively across diverse cultures and geographical distances with sensitivity
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in any other Nigerian language will be an added advantage
