The University of Cape Town (UCT), in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, has opened fresh applications for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Programme.
The initiative provides academically talented young people from economically disadvantaged communities in Africa with access to quality university education.

Eligibility
- Applicant must be academically talented
- Applicant must be from an economically disadvantaged country, facing significant financial barriers to completing their education
- Applicant must be committed to giving back by investing in their communities, using the skills and knowledge that they have acquired
- Applicant must be committed to embracing ethical leadership and making a positive change in their home communities
